What I Spent Today

I haven't spent any money since Sunday.  Today was a treat.

Fifty Shades of Grey is a popular book.  It's sold over 100 million copies!  I admit that I have read all three.  I read the first one because of they hype (and my friend lent me the books) and continued because once I start a series, I have to finish it.  I could get a gold medal on how much I marathon TV shows.  Just because it's popular, does not mean that it's a good book.  It's not a good book, AT ALL.  There's hardly any plot when you get the sex scenes out of the way.  Anastasia is someone who I cannot relate to.  I would have lost it if someone sold my car! I touch people for a living so the no touching would have been a hard limit (I just had to).  Though it was a terrible book, it created a bonding experience with my friend.  I would call her and tell her what part I was on and she would gossip about what was going on.  Some good did come out of it.  When the movie came out, I read reviews and knew it would be terrible, I mean, look at what they had to base it off of.  Still, we had to go see it.  And we did.  And it's not that bad.  Entertaining, it was surprisingly funny, mostly in moments when it wasn't trying to.  I literally laughed out loud when Christian took a bite of Ana's toast and the soundtrack was good.  I would give it 4 out of 10 whips.  What can I say?  I like bad movies.

The dinner.  That's because we went right after work and I was HANGRY.
